It's not as flexible as other robots such as the iRobot Roomba i7+ which comes with a dirt-disposal system that is more automated as well as a navigation algorithm with an improved algorithm to locate hidden objects. The IQ also has a weaker brushroll, which could cause it to get stuck on rug tassels, and then lose suction.

It also comes with a built-in tower and dock for additional removal of odor and filtration and can be taken apart to clear out obstructions or take pet hair stuck in the mop.  
  
The EZ Self-Empty is also superior to the Shark AI Robot AV911S in certain ways, including in terms of performance on carpeted floors as well as carpet with a low- and high-pile carpet. Its external bin has a larger dirt compartment and its navigation system can navigate around obstacles such as electrical cords. App control  
  
Shark robots are loaded with features that allow you to manage them from any location. The apps allow you to schedule cleanings, make maps of your home, label rooms and view the history of your cleaning. They also come with voice assistant support so you can use your preferred voice to control the robots. The Shark application is simple to download and install, and once you've set it up, you can connect it to your Wi-Fi network to begin.  
  
If you live in a smart house then your Shark vacuum cleaner will be able build an interactive map and navigate around obstacles with no problem. The robots will also create an individual cleaning schedule for your home. This feature is especially useful when you live in a large multi-story house, or have kids and pets.  
  
To create a mapping feature and navigation feature, you'll need to connect your device to your shark vacuum cleaner through Wi-Fi. The app will guide you through the rest of the procedure after you've connected the vacuum cleaner to the router. You can also connect your vacuum directly to the router.  
  
During the mapping and navigation process during the mapping and navigation process, the Shark IQ robot captures images of your space to generate an architectural map using Visual Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (VSLAM). Once the images are converted into navigation data, they are deleted from the robot. Certain usage data is then transmitted to the cloud, however, so that the map information and navigation data can be seen on your SharkClean App.  
  
After your robot has completed cleaning, it will automatically return to its dock or Self-Empty Base. When the robot is ready to charge the indicator light for charging will turn solid blue on the base and it will sound a beep. To send the robot back to the dock manually, select "Dock" in the Shark app or press the Dock button on the base.  
  
After your robot is charged and the indicator light on the base will flash several times before turning to solid blue. The next cleaning session can be scheduled.
